Portugal

Teaching in Portugal is steadily growing, with classes currently available in the Porto area and occasional weekend workshops and the annual retreat. At this stage, our focus in Portugal is especially on training potential new teachers, offering guidance and structure for those who wish to step into a teaching role and carry the practice forward.

One of our teachers started teaching in Napoli. Find information and link to his website below at this page.

Tai Chi Chuan has its roots in Taoist meditation and self-defense, both of which remain an integral part of the teachings presented by the ITCCA today. Yang Cheng-Fu is remembered for saying, “Tai Chi Chuan is meditation in movement.” Through practicing the form, the mind becomes calmer in motion. The accompanying mental and energetic techniques support overall health and well-being. When form is empty, the shade dances.
